This etching is about a number of different styles of artists. The Mao painting refers to the paintings and prints Andy Warhol did on Mao. If you look carefully you may see references to Phillip Guston, Picasso, Lucas Cranach and even a drawing on yellow lined paper by Lucy Sullivan, one of our grandchildren. The print was originally created as a demonstration at a college workshop.
