This print was purposely made to appeal to a couple of friends who are big collectors of southwest art. Maggie and I had been to Tuscon, AZ years ago and we'd visited several galleries and museums. At one an indian was doing a sand painting. The image I have created shows me sitting in a bent wood rocker ( we owned one which we had painted yellow ). The indian is doing this sand painting indoors on a deer hide. When it is finished, it must be taken outside and shook to disperse the image to the winds. A woman in the back of the room is explaining this to my wife, Maggie. I'm reading a funny paper and mysteriously several of the figures are jumping out of the sand painting.
